Nicole Eisenman (*1965 in Verdun, France, lives and works in New York) developed a passion for painting at an early age and graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1987. The artist practices various mediums, such as drawing, painting and sculpture, and develops a formal and iconographic repertoire that is as precise as it is personal.
Considered as one of the most outstanding artists on the American scene today, Nicole Eisenman was awarded the Carnegie Prize in 2013 and the MacArthur Fellowship in 2015 before becoming a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters in 2018.
