Before he was canonized as an icon, Vincent van Gogh was misunderstood, mocked, rejected.
His painting overflowed the boundaries of its time.

The exhibition SUSPECTS — Van Gogh, Tricksters & Co. finds its starting point in Van Gogh’s nonconformist
spirit. It brings together 32 modern and contemporary
artists who, in turn, take their own dissident paths.

Through 120 works charged with irony, provocation,
and absurdity, — but also marked by melancholy and painful questioning — the exhibition unsettles
perception, shakes convictions, and blows apart conventions.
