Born in Versailles in 1963, Michel Gondry was immersed from childhood in a musical universe punctuated by the sounds of the synthesizer (his grandfather invented the Clavioline), the bass and the piano. From his amateur musical career – he was a drummer in the pop group Oui Oui, for which he directed several videos – Gondry has undoubtedly retained a taste for a dreamlike universe made of odds and ends, which we find in some of the clips and short films shown at the Fondation.
