WITH FLORENCE-LOUISE PETETIN (for ages 8 +)

How about experimenting with a new painting technique (although actually it’s very old) called tempera, taking as our starting points Entrance to a Quarry (1889) by Vincent van Gogh and a work by a living artist? In an exploration of landscape and painting, participants work with artist Florence-Louise Petetin to create their own representation.

Florence-Louise Petetin’s work articulates itself around the notion of landscape. Through painting, engraving, writing and video, she observes and describes an environment that is at once physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Her technique is growing simpler and purer, and her use of colour more restrained, in order to give way entirely to a more “instinctive” experience of painting
