Artist’s models lay themselves bare whether they are naked or clothed. With or without modesty, they reveal something of their intimate nature to the artist, which this latter seeks to capture on canvas. When she paints, Alice Neel shares a unique moment with her models. Through them, she lays her own self bare in her pictures. What can we detect of this intimacy when we are in front of these portraits?
